On the morning of September 21st, coinciding with the 5th Foshan Talent Day, the 2026 Nanhai Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition Investment and Financing Matchmaking Event, together with the themed talent service activity, was successfully held at Qiandeng Lake Venture Capital Town. Targeting the goal of developing Nanhai’s "1215" modern industrial system, this competition has set up four cutting-edge tracks: Artificial Intelligence & Intelligent Manufacturing, New Electronic Information, New Energy & New Materials, and Biotechnology & Advanced Healthcare. It widely solicited sci-tech projects from all sectors of society and received a total of 183 valid entries.After technical evaluation, comprehensive assessment and due diligence, 45 high-quality winning projects were selected. Most of these projects focus on high-end fields such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, intelligent manufacturing and new materials.

At the event, four outstanding projects from Jihua Qujie, Guoxin Microelectronics, Zhongzhou Precision Control and Tuoxin Semiconductor took the stage for roadshows in sequence. They showcased cutting-edge achievements including embodied intelligent robot joint modules, third-generation semiconductor SiC technology, high-precision porous ceramic air-bearing rollers, and advanced high-precision C-Molding semiconductor packaging equipment. Several of these projects have entered the supply chains of industry leaders or broken overseas monopolies.

This Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition serves not only as an arena for sci-tech projects to compete, but also as a vital platform for Nanhai to continuously expand talent recruitment channels. During the signing ceremony, 8 projects signed agreements with the District Science and Technology Bureau and Blue Ocean Angel Investment Fund. In recent years, centering on the top concerns of entrepreneurial talent teams such as funding, industrial spaces, R&D and market access, Nanhai has strived to build a full-chain productive service system. It has improved the "subsidy, investment, loan and insurance" sci-tech financial ecosystem, and set up the Blue Ocean Sci-Tech Angel Investment Fund, the city’s first government-backed angel fund with a total size of 200 million yuan, to boost investment in early-stage, small-scale and hard-tech projects. Nanhai has revitalized more than 500,000 square meters of public industrial premises, with 5 premises accredited as "Foshan Talent Hub". It has gathered 33 key sci-tech innovation platforms, 60 concept verification and pilot test platforms. Through the "Yiqi Chuangxiang" platform, over 4,000 scientific and technological achievements and a team of nearly 200 technology managers are connected, improving the full-range service chain of "concept verification — pilot testing — achievement transformation" to help talent teams grow and thrive.

Planting parasol trees to attract phoenixes. At present, the total number of talents in Nanhai has exceeded 660,000. A total of 625 talent teams have been introduced and nurtured. A batch of promising tech startups including Xidi Micro, Zhongke Anchi, Origin Intelligence and Boton Optics have been cultivated. Enterprises founded by talent teams have generated a combined revenue of over 10 billion yuan in the past three years and won 16 provincial and above science and technology awards. Behind these impressive figures are Nanhai’s solid efforts to continuously expand channels for talent recruitment and aggregation, foster sci-tech talent teams, and build a thriving haven for talented innovators.
